At Goodnotes, we understand the significance of this experience, and with the advent of the iPad in 2011, we saw an incredible opportunity to bring the traditional pen and paper experience to the digital world. If you want to see what my notes look like as a whole, you can take a look here.Writing with pen and paper has been an essential part of human life for thousands of years. I write my headings and then use the highlighter in one of the colors in my scheme. However, afterwards I make a fancy title in Procreate and copy it to GoodNotes. If I have to make a title quickly, I usually type it to maintain the neat look. I found out that for A4 paper size, you’ll have to use a 547pt margin to put the separation line in the middle. If I don’t use a particular system, I always make two columns by using GoodNotes’ zoom window. For example, there was a time when I used Cornell for readings and no particular system for lectures. Choose paper templates for reading & lecture notesįor some subjects, I like to use different templates for readings and notes. Since GoodNotes has a very useful bookmarks function, I put bookmarks on every week, this makes looking back even more easy. My blocks last 7 weeks, every week we do a new topic. I use these colors for the title, headers, highlights etc. I make a color scheme for every notebook, usually based on the cover. In this index I put every lecture (with title and date) and all my readings (with date) and the page number, so I can look back easily. I add a cover and index page to every notebook. Then I make a new notebook for every subject I have that block. So I basically listed all the steps of my note taking process, get inspired! CategoriesĮvery block I make a new category, that I put under the master category for that year. I have been showing you guys a lot of notes, and I have seen other studyblrs post about their note taking “routine”.
